Too much milk at work?

Milk workplace accident pre-settlement funding

We're wrapping up this week's coverage of Pre-Settlement Funding in action with a story that may surprise you, and a type of injury we haven't covered yet. Kwame Kennedy was working at his job at a warehouse in Michigan when 88 gallons of milk came crashing down on top of him!

The full story is a little more complicated than that. Kwame was clearing out a trailer that had just delivered some goods when another employee, not realizing he was still in there, began to drive the truck that the trailer was attached to. The sudden momentum threw Kwame to the ground where he smashed his head on the concrete floor, and the remaining contents of the trailer (in this case, 88 gallons of milk) also toppled, falling on him.

Kwame's injuries were serious, and this puts him in a complicated set of circumstances. Being unable to do a physically-demanding job puts him out of work, cutting off his income immediately. In addition, he had medical bills, therapy, pain and suffering that he had to overcome before he was able to get back to a point where he could hold another job.

Because of the circumstances of his accident, Kwame is holding two entities responsible - the warehouse where he fell, and the food company he worked for. This is the best way for him to get justice for his accident, but it makes the court proceedings take significantly longer. Being out of work and without compensation for that long really isn't an option for many people, and it certainly wasnt for Kwame.

That's why Pre-Settlement Funding is so important. Kwame didn't have to wait the years it took to resolve this case. He got the money that he needed when he needed it, and was able to pay his medical bills, recover properly, and rebuild his life while the court took their time.

If you or someone you know is in a situation like this, don't wait another day. You can submit a quick application right now, give us a call at (866) 587-4320, or send an e-mail to - we want to hear from you, and would be happy to go over the unique details of your case.
