The Winner of This Week's 1k just turned the lights back on!
Hello everyone,
This week was a busy one, as over 50 people applied for the Weekly 1k. That's the most applications we've ever had for the contest, and we're glad to see the excitement!
As you know, we can't reveal the names or show the pictures of the people involved in the contest. As much as we'd love to, there are legal reasons why we're simply not able to do that. However, we can share their stories and we can give them a free 1,000 dollars when they win, which is exactly what we've done.
The two stories we highlighted this week were that of an elderly woman who'd had a bad hip replacement and needed additional surgery, and a young man who'd fallen off the back of a truck during work. These were two harrowing stories, and rest assured, we're doing everything in our power to help both of these people (as well as all the other cases that were submitted to us).
However, the Weekly 1k is all about giving people even more. We go above and beyond to make sure people are taken care of. So we asked you to help us decide which of these cases truly moved you, and which of these people was most in need of a free $1,000.
This week's voting took place across the internet. With votes coming in from Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin and our own website, we saw over 100 votes for each story. However, the final breakdown was as follows:
Bad Hip Surgery: 132 votes.
Fallen off a truck: 116 votes.
With that, we're honored to announce that this week's winner is the elderly woman in dire need of some money (and another hip!) We wired the money to her as soon as we saw that she'd won the voting, and we're happy to report that she's already turned the lights back on in her house.
This money is going to go a long, long way. In addition to having her electricity turned back on, she's going to be able to get the medical care she needs while she waits for her court case to finish. Since she's being backed by us, she's got a great chance of winning and seeing justice done!
It'll still be a long time before that court case is resolved, but for now, we're happy to know that we played a part in her recovery and helped her keep the lights on.
We'll be back next week with another round of Simia's Weekly 1k. If you or someone you know is eligible, then it's time to apply! You can submit a quick application right now, give us a call at (866) 587-4320, or send an e-mail to info@simiafunding.com. We want to help you, so let us know about your situation.
